A Canadian company can expand its banking services into the U.S. following its agreement to purchase Stearns Bank Holdingford National Association.

VersaHoldings US Corp. acquired the charter for Stearns Bank Holdingford N.A., which gives Canada-based Versa Bancorp its first opportunity to expand into the U.S., according to Stearns Bank.
